Our Problem – Separation
Being at peace with God is not automatic, because by nature you are separated from God.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God — Romans 3 v23
If we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness — 1 John 1 v9
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us — Romans 5 v8

God’s Plan — Peace and Life
No matter what your background and regardless of all your previous sin, God loves you and wants you to experience His peace and abundant life.

God’s remedy — the Cross
God’s love bridges the gap of separation between God and you. When Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave, He paid the penalty for our sins.
In reply Jesus declared, ‘I tell you the truth no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again’ — John 3 v3
He personally carried the load of our sins in His own body when He died on the cross — 1 Peter 2 v24

The response — receive Christ
You cross the bridge into God’s family when you receive Christ by personal invitation.
Jesus answered ‘I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me — John 14 v6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him — Hebrews 11 v6
Believing that God exists is only the beginning – even the demons believe that much! (James 2 v19-20). God will not settle for mere acknowledgement of His existence, He wants a personal relationship with you which will transform your life.
Those who seek God will find that they are rewarded with His intimate presence.

What to pray
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Saviour. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
How do I know that I am saved?
Because it is promised:
I tell you the truth whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned, he has crossed over from death to life — John 5 v24:
