Who are we here for?
We are here to listen to your problem, hurt, or situation, whether you are a Christian or non-Christian, in total confidence and with a caring, compassionate ear.
The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit — Psalm 34 v18
Behind the harsh public face of our communities, many people are hurting and crying out to know that someone cares.
Crossline listeners are here to hear your cries and to show the same compassion that Jesus practised. We are here to give you time and acceptance for you to share your burden of grief, loneliness, frustration, indecision or guilt; to help you talk through a particular problem; to put you in contact with others who may be able to help you; if you wish, to pray with you; and to continue to pray for you. Crossline is here to listen to anyone who needs comfort or just someone to listen.
Whether Christian or not, Jesus treated each person he talked to as unique and special. No problem was either too big or too small for him. We aim to follow his example.
Telephone contacts can also be put in touch with support agencies or churches in their area where they can receive further fellowship and help.
